Dear people,

I have decided to stop developing Portable Python.

This was a very hard decision to make and I was thinking about it for months... It was great to be with all of you for the last 8.5 years and it is not easy to let go on something I love. I would like to thank you all for your support and ideas - I learned so much from you in the last years!

However, fact is that this project was born in a different time and today we have some awesome alternatives, technologies and solutions.

All best to you and like always - keep pythoning!

Perica

I, for one, will miss future updates. I have used multiple versions over the years.

Portable Python is the only way I can create the tools I need for my job.
Portable Python was the only way I could get some of the complicated libraries like lxml, which I never successfully installed.

Thank you for your hard work over the years.

Josh

Sad to hear that.
Portable Python is the best among the alternative group.
Thank you for the hard work. Will miss portable python for sure.

Now, I have to spend sometime to get all these tools together.
