Certainly seems like this thread is long dead, but I did stumble upon some
some others attempting to do the same on various amazon listings. Here's
what I found:
By Jon W. on the KEMO amazon link:
"The KEMO Ultrasonic Signal Generator Module definitely does the job as
specified. I was inspired by other reviews to use this unit as the central
component in an anti-bark dog cannon, and the results have been excellent.
The project was a collaboration between me and my brother, who has been
suffering for years at the hands of inconsiderate neighbors who leave their
dogs outside when gone. The dogs bark continuously until the neighbors
return home. No amount of talking with the neighbors has done any good. And
an inexpensive hand-held ultrasonic device had no effect at the range
needed. My design connects the signal generator to a headphone amplifier
that drives two piezo speakers wired in parallel. I use a 555 timer module
to delay powering up the amplifier for a few seconds to avoid broadcasting
the loud audible chirp made by the signal generator when it powers up. This
allows you to start up the dog cannon silently. The installation involves
mounting the speakers up high and pointing them down at the likely dog
location. The speakers are mounted inside short sections of PVC pipe for
improved sound projection. The circuitry is contained inside a weatherproof
box, where it is powered with a remote control. This is a tremendous
convenience because you can turn on the dog cannon from your bed if a dog
wakes him in the middle of the night. If you want to replicate this design,
here is your Amazon shopping list:"
