Crow-wise, v2.2.2 is a complete flop.

I built the v2.2.2 circuit (pics at the end of the show-and-tell thread). I pointed it at a couple of crows who were perched in a tree above me. I'd estimate the distance at about 10-15 meters from me to the crows. I turned it on (I by accident purchased on-off push button switches instead of momentary push buttons) and pointed it at first one crow, then the other.

Nothing.

There might have been expressions of mild interest. I think one of them turned its head from side to side as if to say, "what's that funny noise?" But they were relaxed and showed no interest in leaving their branches.

Frankly, I don't think it's all that loud. I don't have means to do a sound-pressure test, so I don't know. And I haven't pointed it at a dog yet. But even the low (S2 closed) tone is tolerable, if annoying, in my kitchen.

I'd better take that back. A couple of minutes after a two-second test of the S2 tone in the kitchen, I noticed that I actually have a bit of an earache. Just a little discomfort and a slight ringing. So it is probably louder than I gave it credit for (or perceived at the time).

Interesting psycho-acoustics effect.
