started right up on a weak first pull.
By Gomo
This seems to be a great little unit. After no power for 5 days due to Sandy I finally bought a generator. While I'd have liked one a little larger I know I can run everything and more I'd need in a power outage with 3,500 watts. Amazon's emailing me for a review a little early as I haven't had much time to use it yet, but it's pretty solid. No assembly, put oil in it, some gas, didn't even close the choke and out kicked over immediately. I saw lots of "it's quiet, not quiet" reviews. IMO it's very quiet for a generator, much quieter than my neighbors craftsman of the same size. I tested it out, plugging in a full size fridge and ran my Christmas lights for about an hour on a splash of fuel, then need put it away. I hope to never need it, unless we go camping, but am confident I'm covered for next time.

Great generator for the money
By Art
Setup is easy. I would highly recommend getting the accessory wheel kit, which makes it a lot easier to move the generator around. It started right up on the first pull and is much quieter than I expected. The first time we used it it ran for about 11 hours on about 2 gallons of gas. We did not want an over sized generator as everyone learned after Sandy getting gas is not always as easy as you think. The generator provided enough power to keep our refrigerator, freezer, a few fans and some lights running. We also ran the TV and DirectTV for part of the day.
The oil drain plug is in an odd spot, but easy to get to. It is above part of the frame, so some oil will get on the frame while draining the oil. Just take your time and have some rags or paper towels ready.
Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend this generator.
