The album opened to positive response from critics and audiences. Commercially, the tracks set records in sales of physical CDs and through digital downloads;[6] songs including "Tere Mast Mast Do Nain" and "Munni Badnaam Hui" opened exceptionally from listeners and became chartbusters, topping the music, radio and streaming charts.[7] Singer Mamta Sharma who crooned the latter, gained immense popularity after the track's success.[8][9] In addition, the album won three awards each at Filmfare (including one for Best Music Director), Zee Cine, Producers Guild, Lions Gold, BIG STAR IMA, two BIG Star Entertainment, five IIFA and seven awards each at Mirchi Music at GiMA Awards.

Dabangg's soundtrack received generally positive reviews from music critics. Joginder Tuteja of Bollywood Hungama gave the album 3 stars and said, "[it] delivers what it promised. One expected a masala soundtrack and this is what one gets with a couple of item song sequences, a couple of theme tracks and two love songs which are actually the highlight of the film. A soundtrack that has something in store for mass as well as class."[16] Atta Khan of Planet Bollywood gave it a rating of 6 out of 10, and called the soundtrack "simple, catchy, easy on the ears and fun" and further wrote "Dabangg further showcases their ability to connect with the mass audience. In other words it delivers thanks to their knowledge of 'what is required' and their ability to attract strong singers such as Sonu Nigam, Sukhwinder Singh and Shreya Ghoshal."[17]

The original was apparently a 1970s song by Razia Begum, a folk singer from Madhya Pradesh: it went Launda badnaam hua, naseeban tere liye. The passage of decades and a quick gender-flip later, we got this Lalit Pandit (yes, Jatin's brother) chartbuster. Farah Khan said she listened to all the songs of Dabangg and chose to choreograph Munni. Whatever that instinct was, it worked: the steps are smashing, as is Malaika Arora. When the initially low-sounding percussion bursts into full-blast at "Main Zandu balm hui," you realise why theatre speakers were made. Mahesh Limaye shoots the sequin-popping splendour beautifully.

I realise this has come off as a very Pritam-skewing list, but he has had some of the best-seen-on-big-screen, high-energy songs of the decade. The staging here is not as extravagantly showy as in the earlier numbers, as the situation is more character-based. A stubbled SRK is magnificently casual: I love it when he breaks into that low-energy bhangra move. What seemed like overacting on Anushka's part in the rest of the film is a perfect fit here, and this "two people get comfortable around one another through naach-gaana"stretch is one of the few things that didn't make the theatre experience of this film a total write-off.

Anup Bhandari needs no introduction. His first film, Rangitaranga , was a blockbuster. And his second venture, Rajaratha , was released in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. Anup is multi-talented and adept at not just direction, but also song-writing. In fact, he has written the songs for his films and now has written all the six songs for the Kannada version of Dabangg 3 , which features Kiccha Sudeep and Salman Khan.

Jack Manjoo, who has been with Sudeep for years is also the distributor for the Kannada version of Dabangg 3. He also happens to be the producer for my next film with Sudeep. So he wanted me to write one song for the Dabangg 3 Kannada version. Sudeep loved that song and asked me to write all the six songs for the film.

Though the songs were written first, I did watch the videos and changed a few words to sync with the lip movements of the actor. Some words were changed to make it sound like a genuine Kannada song.

As of now I have written a few songs. It is my habit to pen lyrics as I write my story. I enjoy writing and it has become a passion. Whether the same songs will be used in the films, only time will tell.

Salman Khan shared a video of the title track of his upcoming film Dabangg 3, Hud Hud Dabangg. Given that he was only sharing the audio of the other songs, this is a break from the usual. The song opens with Salman asking his fans to welcome him. It is followed by Bhai dancing with a hundred men in Lucknow. His steps keep getting weirder and weirder.

Dilpreet Dhillon made a special place in Punjabi Music Industry with his songs, "Gundey No.1" and "Gundey Returns". Both of his songs have rocked the Television Screen for so many weeks. These songs boosted Dilpreet to bring different composition to the Punjabi Industry. We noticed that the singer has a "Dabanggi" voice. He sings his Punjabi composition with his Dbangg Andaaz. Dilpreet Dhillon won hearts of people with his songs and then the singer tried to win hearts of people through acting. He did his debut in acting by working in a Punjabi Movie "Once Upon A Time In Amritsar". After this he came up with one more movie, "Great Sardaar". But unfortunately, both of his movies could not do well at box office.
