EEC Ltd were recently contacted by a longstanding customer in Hampshire, to preform their annual DRO check over and calibration. The DRO maintenance and calibration was successfully carried out on 7 manual Turret Mills.
Whilst EEC were attending the site, issues were diagnoses on 2 Fagor DRO units, which we quickly turned our attention to. The DRO faults were identified as a damaged X axis scale (due to an accident by the operator) and a missing digit on the Fagor 30i display. Both items were replaced during a subsequent visit and re-calibrated.
I have sinumerik 840c control. i have a problem in Z-Axis. now the situation is that after 4 months of COVID-19 pandemic situation breakdown. we came to machine and switch on the machine. machine is on general reset. i tried to reset the machine but machine is showing alarm " PLC_CPU NOT READY FOR OPERATION . this error is removed by replacing PLC_CPU with my spare. now there is another error "NO COMMUNICATION TO NCK". this error is also removed with the help of my spared NCK CPU. now all error goes and i have a procedure to reset the machine with all available backups. now machine is working fine in all axis but when i pressed Z+ jog button display shows reading till 1mm then following error occurs only in Z-Axis there is following two errors.
4- i dismantle z-axis linear scale and clean scale with lint free paper and check scale head cable connection and physical inspect the scale. i also move scale head by my hand and it is showing good reading on display.there is no change same 1161 alarm.
Please activate motor encoder measuring system so that you can move the axis without any alarm. Now to check linear sacle, you need to connect linear scale testing kit (contact your Fagor support service center) & move the axis. This way you can check linear scale output signal waveform & confirm if t is operational or problmatic. Or else you need to send linear scale & get it checked/repaired from Fagor support center.
