Iwent there again but again he wasn't there. That makes me wonder if I'm in the right place. Where exactly is he supposed to be? In that courtyard? In the passage that leads towards the river? In a building?

Go behind the church at night. Cross the street to what looks like an "Outside Patio" with people sitting at tables, drinking etc. Cross the patio and go to an alley directly behind the patio. Look to your right and you should see him there. You can talk to him, but kill him quickly. Have you collected ALL of the clues?

First you have to find the 5 messages in Saint-Denis.

Then go to the place where the vampire appear between 12:00 and 01:00AM.

When you see a cross (a dead body) on the mini map then he's there.

Just kill him with whatever gun you have, or arrow or throwing weapon.

The dagger should appear next to the body. If it's not, go to the fence. It should be there.

But while Red Dead Redemption 2 is home to a slew of mysteries that are grounded in reality and revolve around realistic figures, some of its most beloved mysteries are those that dip their toe into more supernatural elements. The mystery of the Saint Denis vampire certainly fits into that category.

As the name would imply, this infamous Red Dead Redemption 2 mystery takes place in the bustling city of Saint Denis. Available as soon as players arrive in Saint Denis as Arthur Morgan, Red Dead Redemption 2's vampire needs a little work before the climactic encounter can occur. Littered across the city are five pieces of writing, all scrawled across various walls.

Behind the Saint Denis General Store, players can find a message that reads "Five bones under the perfect star Nosferatu will become mortal again." In an alleyway next to the Fontana Theatre, players can find the second message, which states "Oh sweetest of napes may your blood remain forever on my lips six there will be before the lust is sated." The third message, located behind the Gunsmith, reads "With one long kiss I draw the life from her and await the outpost of the advancing day." The penultimate message is just next to the Trapper, and says "I feed again the blood of life. The circle has begun." And the final message, found just south of the tavern, reads "I drink from the maiden and live again in the dead. The Heart of the ring of blood."

These eerie messages paint a pretty clear picture of what players can expect to find, with the first message directly referencing Nosferatu, and most of them mentioning the drinking of blood. The messages also state that there will be six victims, implying that these five messages have been left at the scene of each murder, and that there's still one crime left to be committed. If players inspect their journal after finding all five messages, they'll be able to notice that each murder location - when connected together - forms a pentagram, and if players head to the center of it, they're able to find the Saint Denis vampire for themselves.

When heading into the alleyway specified on the map -- just south of the Saint Denis cathedral -- at around 12 am, players will encounter a spooky figure hunched over a corpse. Dressed in a long black coat, black pants, and red gauntlets, this pale figure turns suddenly to face the player. Though it's hard to make out in the dim light of the alleyway, eagle-eyed players can see that the mysterious man has long bat-like ears, and extremely sharp teeth. If the player hangs around for too long, then the Saint Denis vampire walks toward them, threatening that they'll be his next victim. If the player doesn't react fast enough, then the vampire will take out his dagger and kill them in one hit. After it's all done, players can find a newspaper article that mentions a man named Bosco Lopez who killed five people -- all of whom had bite marks -- in Saint Denis years ago, but who was supposedly hanged for his crimes.
