FWIW, I wouldn't keep pants that made me spanx it to wear them. I HATE shape wear though. It is not comfortable, and my skin can't breathe. It is just a modern corset. Would a guy ever tolerate shape wear?
I tend to agree about perhaps sizing up instead. The issue with shapewear under white pants is that any line on the thigh is likely to show, at least when you sit down. Even the non-binding types will show a delineation between them and the skin, and that is highlighted more with white pants, even with nude shapewear. So you would have to wear capri length shapewear or something below the knee, which I personally would find to be terrribly hot and uncomfortable - kind of ruining the point of white pants, IMO. I vote to keep searching for a pair that has the proper fit and fabric weight not to show any figure concerns instead of going for shapewear.
Sounds awfully hot to be wearing "long underwear" under the white jeans. I looked for two years to find a pair of white jeans that gave me the right skim but no cling fit and no "cottage cheese". I went up one size in to a size I have never worn before in jeans but hey it's not about the number right? They even turned out to be quite inexpensive so that was a bonus. I wore them so much I am going to have to replace soon so it's worth the search for sure.
I agree with the others -- I have tried on light-colored, lightweight skinnies that give that effect, and there is no way I would buy them and wear them. Way too much work to wear shapewear under jeans! I would say either size up or keep looking for a more substantial weight fabric.
I have been looking for white jeans forever to avoid the cellulite look so although I keep looking I am not finding. If you have a pair and want to keep them, why not simple nude panty hose? THey firm me up enough to wear a skirt and show a bit of thigh when I sit. Else I cannot wear skirts. I feel the cellulite pain with you!

Jeans shopping is... the very worst. That's why I've been wearing the same pair of Cotton On Mum Jeans for approximately the past four years of my life (and bless them, they haven't fallen apart yet).
But I have had to face the truth recently: there's cute-faded-in-a-fashion-way jeans. And then there's should-be-relegated-to-housework-faded jeans. And my favourite pair are in the latter category, which is exactly why I found myself embarking on one of my least favourite tasks recently.
And that, friends, is how I ended up strolling through the jeans section of my local Kmart on a recent Saturday (I was just there for cheap homewares, I swear), with little expectation and even lower hope.
Now, I'd heard good things about Kmart jeans in the past, and we already know that price doesn't necessarily equal quality (although, if you do want to fork out for $300 jeans, there's always #girlmath to help you with that). Plus, this particular style of Kmart jeans just happened to be the same ones that have been going viral on TikTok, and TikTokkers just don't get this stuff wrong. Ya know? I've seen them described as "literally magic", "the best jeans I've ever bought", and who am I to argue with reviews like that?
So off I trotted to the fitting room, Kmart jeans slung over my arm, hope bubbling away inside but honestly not really expecting great things. I've been burnt so many times before and I know the pain of getting your hopes up only to have them torn to shreds in a badly lit cubicle.
They look like standing jeans, but I can comfortably sit at my desk all day in them and not be desperate to rip them off my body the second I get home from work. The fabric is soft but sturdy, and you guys, I don't want to brag, but my butt looks pretty phenomenal.
I have a problem. My absolute favourite jeans from last Winter don't blumming well fit. I can get them on (just about) but the zip keeps on coming down and the waistband is really tight. I don't want to buy another pair (yes I'm going back on a wretched diet until the weekend Christmas) as I love love love these jeans.
Shapewear and jeans works so well. The jeans fit snugly but the material is forgiving. So you can wear some super slimming shapewear under your jeans which will make you look slimmer, smoother and much more jean-i-licious!
