Hello Porchlight people!
Pete Straus, a longtime member of the Porchlight family of storytellers and musicians., is the son of 88 year old Stephen Straus who was killed in the Highland Park Mass shooting on July 4th.
Marc Capelle and the Great American Music Hall and Porchlight are co-producing and co-promoting a benefit for the prevention of gun violence this Thursday, featuring the soul and pop revue Marc & the Casuals along with jazz and swing dance music by the Nick Rossi Trio to open the evening.
The show is all ages and all 100% of the proceeds from the evening go to the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence.
The show is all ages and tickets are $20.
