Lisa Doron is a rooted visionary, a woman who has chosen the western edge ofNorthern California as the home of her work, her family, and her dreams for over 50years. She is an artist, actor, fashionista and facilitator of connection and magic, gathering people and inviting them to create, commit and PLAY with what matters to them. As a drama teacher for 17 years, she supported young people to develop their creative confidence and connection to the bigger stories of their lives. As a mentor inthe 8 Shields/nature connection community, in particular Weaving Earth, Lisa teaches storytelling as an essential human skill and a healing modality guided by the question:how does who I am and what I do connect me to land, self and others, in that order? Several years ago she created and continues the Wedding Dress Project, year-long excursions with women using fairy tales and handwork as a way of looking into what wet alk about when we talk about love and taking sacred vows. In 2009 she partnered with storyteller/mythologist Martin Shaw, to create the California version of Dr. Martin Shaw's UK School of Myth and Story. The integration of head, heart and hands is at the center of what moves through her work and it is always a lovely muddle.

Virgil Shaw is an American singer‐songwriter rooted in the Bay Area, originally from Fairfax, California. He got his start in the late ’80s with the high‐energy speed‐pop band Brent’s TV in Arcata before moving to San Francisco to join the genre‐blending group Dieselhed (1992–2000) After Dieselhed disbanded, Shaw launched his solo career, forming Virgil Shaw & The Killer Views and releasing two critically acclaimed country‐rock albums, Quad Cities (2000) and Still Falling (2002). His songwriting draws on Americana, old‐time folk, and early countryinfluences— shaped by his parents’ love of retro Dustbowl and ’50s folk records. Shaw remains active in the Bay Area, frequently performing and releasing music, including his 2021 album At the Time I Didn’t Care on Rocks In Your Head Records.
