Systemfile corruption is another potential cause for the ISDone.dll error in Windows 11/10. So, we recommend users run a System File Checker scan to address that possible cause. Check out our guide about running the SFC tool for further details about how to apply this solution.

In addition, you can also run a Deployment Image Servicing Management scan on top. That scan can resolve issues with the system image. You can run that utility in the Command Prompt by executing this command:

The ISDone.dll error could be occurring because some required Visual C++ Redistributable runtimes are missing on your PC. The solution in such a scenario is to install the required C++ runtime libraries that are missing. You can install missing Visual C++ runtimes in the following steps:

The ISDone.dll error references an ISDone DLL file, which might not be correctly registered. Reregistering that file could resolve the issue for some users. This is how to register the ISDone DLL file:

To minimize potential conflicting processes, try clean booting your PC. Setting a clean boot involves disabling all third-party startup apps and services. That will reduce the number of background services and apps that start with Windows, which could eliminate a process causing the ISDone.dll error.

Players have widely confirmed those resolutions fix the ISDone.dll error. So, applying the potential ISDone.dll error resolutions above will probably resolve that game installation issue in most cases. Yet, they might not work for everyone, and you can contact support services for affected game titles if further potential fixes are needed.

Hi, I tried to change the default install location for games in Lutris to another drive as the drive my OS is on was getting full, after changing the game install path and also wine prefix location I was unable to get a game to install any where other than the default location /home/.wine I changed everything back to the way is was, freed up some space and tried to install a game, which failed with an error about IsDone.dll, I had 23GB free at the time and the game needed 2GB. I uninstalled lutris and wine and renamed the .wine folder to .wine.old and renamed all remaining Lutris folders. I reinstalled wine and Lutris, I ran into the same issue with IsDone.dll. I remove lutris and wine again deleted the new folders that were created and changed .old back to what they were. I then installed wine and lutris again. My games installed piror to this issue are running fine. I installed a new game and this time used the default system\wine runner and the game installed, I then uninstalled the game and then tried with the lutris runners and ran into the IsDone.dll message again. I tried downloading a few more lutris runners and had the same problem. If I install with system\wine runner then change runner to lutris after install the game will hang or crash. The game will run fine with system\wine runner. Ive spend a few hours on this so far and was thinking about reinstalling my OS, any help you give me would be gratefully appreciated.

That half worked, I cant install using Wine-6,20-GE-1, I still run into the issue with isDone.dll, I can install using the default system runner, but game now runs when I switch runner back to Wine-6,20-GE-1 when before any new installs would crash when ran with anything other than the default system runner. Thanks for your help.

I extracted wine-6,20-GE-1, into /home/USERNAME/.local/share/lutris/runners/wine/

I also tried it as you suggested and had it in a folder in my downloads called runners and pointed lutris towards wine64 When I was unable to install a game using it as you asked I then extracted to the default lutris folder. Both ways still gave me the isdone.dll error.

Did you get the isdone.dll error installing Epic Games Store? Also what is your hardware config (cpu, amount of ram and cpu)? isDone.dll errors seem common with many Windows games installation so it is not a Linux issue and in some cases is related to insufficient temp space or ram (pagefile size in Windows) or using a corrupt install image (downloaded image when game required a CD for installation).

Also, can you get a screenshot of the exact isdone.dll error you are seeing and which game you are trying to install that gives this error? Do you see the same error in Windows?

I did get the error installing epic games store. Ive tested 10 games so far and all fail to install with isdone.dll if using anything other than the default system runner. The games install fine under windows and using the default system runner in Linux its just any of the other runners that cause the issue when trying to install. The below error I got when trying to install Starbound with Lutris-ge-6.20-1

CPU: 5800x

RAM: 32GB

GPU: RTX 2080

Administrative restrictions are one of the causes of this error because you may not have the authority to perform certain actions on the file. Another reason for the occurrence of this error is an unregistered/corrupted DLL File. Therefore, to make sure your DLL file is registered properly, you must register it. You can re-register the ISDone.dll file with the steps below:

Damaged system files can also be a factor that leads to this error. Therefore, to ensure that your files are running properly, you must perform a System scans that scans your system entirely and repairs the damaged files automatically. Follow the steps below to perform a system file checker:

Third-party security software such as Avast also interferes with how the program runs and can cause this error to occur. Therefore, disable this software before running the program at fault. Below we have shown how you can temporarily disable Third-party security software:

I changed the "Common Name" parameter and matched it to what my "Alias" parameter is. I tried a few different parameters but cannot figure out how to not get an "incorrect AVA format", whatever that means.

When inputting the certificate parameters, make sure not to use invalid characters, specifically commas. Are you planning on importing your self-signed certificate into your enterprise trusted root store? If not, I doubt the client side web browser will accept the SSL content returned from it's request and you'll probably get the same error message in AGOL. Without going into a lot of web security detail, self-signed certificates should only be used within a testing environment where the same workstation will accessing the SSL content via client application. If your intentions are to have other users access your web maps and view the SSL content, then you will need to go down the route of accessing a CA signed certificate or domain certificate if the content will only be accessed within your organizations domain. Do your map services need to be SSL enabled? This might be an IT requirement that you can't get around but if not then try accessing the map service over HTTP. I hope this helps

Though, I am still having issues with loading any of my server data onto a web map. It is likely I will need to make a new certificate while directly on the server machine. I will have to try that tomorrow. Though, I really an unclear on what I need to do in order to have my server data accessible to the public for use within web maps.

Are you using a HTTPS URL when adding your map service data into the web map? If so, it sounds like AGOL is rejecting the service since the web browser that you are using to interact w/ AGOL doesn't trust the self-signed certificate the SSL service is providing. You now need to determine whether or not you really need to use the SSL or HTTPS enabled map services. When logged into the Server admin directory, go to security > config and look at the Protocol setting. Is it set to HTTP and HTTPS? If so, try loading a map service w/ the following URL format :6080/arcgis/rest/services/... into a web map (if using Web Adaptor the URL will omit the 6080 port and the server name might be different).
