Data from the Age 51 Sweep of the 1970 British Cohort Study (BCS70) are now available to download from the UK Data Service, free for researchers to access. 

BCS70 is the only nationally representative cohort study of generation X. The study's latest data release includes information collected from more than 8,000 study participants between 2021 and 2024 when they were age 51 to 53. These data offer new opportunities for research into midlife and ageing, and allow for cross-cohort comparisons with earlier born generations.
