K-means cluster analysis

Dear Kamvar

When I do K-means hierarchial clustering, and when choosing the number of PCs to retain, I get the error output saying "more cluster centres than distinct data points." What can I do to correct this error? I have a dataset with 3 populations and this error only pops up with one population and my k-means hierarchial clustering is successful with the other 2 populations.
