place a Hyperlink to a node

Hello,

I wanted to raise a suggest for the further releases of Popoto and some help for my need.

As of now, Neo4j does not provide to store hyperlinks as a "hyperlink" in the DB and it default UI.

For example, I have "Documents" node which has property "URL". What I want, when I click a specific "Document" node, it opens/popup a page which is hyperlinked (a web page or localhost) with "URL" property.

Currently Popoto shows the picture via an attribute includes "xlink:href" which returns getImagePath.

Can a new attribute added/modified to open URLs? For example, When I click one of the URL node, it directs me the hyperlinked page or open a file stored in localhost.

BTW the new web site and logo is nice, and custom configurator is a very handy tool for a kick-start to use Popoto.

Hi Mehmet,

The support of hyperlinks in nodes cannot be supported in 1.0 without a few changes in code.

The click event is handled generally for the full SVG node so it wouldn’t work as is just with a new anchor link generated in SVG.

I’m currently working on adding a customizable radial menu in the graph for 1.1

With this menu you could for example add a custom “Open document” action on document nodes to open the URL set in node.

Let me know if this can work for your use case or if you would prefer have clickable hyperlinks in the graph.

Hi,

The radial menu is not yet part of Popoto, instead radial segments have been used to navigate in the relationships in version 1.2.
