TICTeC Labs: workshops and funding for civic tech solutions

Hello everyone,

We're delighted to announce the launch of TICTeC Labs, a new programme of activities and events to discuss and tackle some of the biggest challenges facing the global civic tech/digital democracy sector. You can read more about TICTeC Labs in this blog post.

As part of TICTeC Labs, we'll be hosting Civic Tech Surgeries over the next 18 months to diagnose, dissect and address Civic tech dilemmas to unlock impact. The first Civic Tech Surgery is coming up on 28th October (details below), and we'd be delighted to see you there:

Civic Tech Surgery #1 - Public-private collaborations: how can civic tech work effectively with public and private institutions?

When: 28th October 14.00 - 15.00 GMT+1

How: Online on Zoom

And this won't just be talk: through the convening of Action Labs, ideas generated in civic tech surgeries will be taken forward to support initiatives that address common challenges. Action Lab participants will be able to apply for grants to carry out the work agreed during the Labs. We’ll be opening up applications to join the first Action Lab soon, so do sign up for updates to be informed first.
