A quick update on the water tower replacement project. Earlier today, I spoke with Dominic Brancaccio, the project lead at Fairfax Water, who confirmed they are behind. They must still meet with the county supervisor and initiate the special exception process. The public outreach meeting that was supposed to happen in Q1 will likely not happen until May. Only a few homes were in the initial communication about the project, but I told him about our civic association and asked him to keep us in the loop. He was surprised that the area encompassed two neighborhoods (Poplar Heights and Westwood Park). :0

I just wanted to share a couple of upcoming construction projects that are planned for the next couple of years. One is sidewalk and crossing improvements at Shrevewood, and the other is the water tower replacement.
I know that we also have water line and VDOT paving projects upcoming, so if anyone has more information on those they should feel free to share.
