National Conference on Using Data to Promote Health Equity and Address Disparities
We are pleased to announce that we can accept many more applications for a travel reimbursement to attend the national conference, Knowledge for Equity: Using Data to Address Health Disparities, which will be held on November 13th and 14th, 2012, in Silver Spring, Maryland, just outside of Washington, DC.
Travel Reimbursement Available for Community-Based Organizations (CBO’s). Funding is available to reimburse attendees up to $1000 for their travel. The travel reimbursement, which includes a waiver of conference costs, will be available to representatives of grassroots organizations, coalitions, and non-profit organizations. Priority will be given to organizations with annual budgets under $500,000. For more information about the travel reimbursements and to pre-register for the conference, please go to

About this Conference. The K4E conference will help community-based organizations to better use data and other sources of knowledge to promote health equity and address health disparities. The K4E conference will be designed to support community based efforts to access, analyze, and use existing national, state, or local data. The K4E conference will include presentations, workshops, breakout sessions and opportunities for participants to share what they are learning and still need. A unique feature will be the participation of federal agencies that will share resources and listen to CBO’s experiences. For more information please see:
