Hello all!

I'm trying to run PopABC on a Cluster in the City University of New York, but I'm getting the following message error: "times not monotonic increasing".
Did someone have seen this kind of error? I have not a clue on what to do.
My previous run were working, but now i just have changed some few parameters on the .prs file

I would appreciate some help.
Thanks a lot,
Anelise

Hi Anelise,

the error message "times not monotonic increasing" means that (looking at time from present to past) there is a splitting time t + 1 that is smaller than a splitting time t. Most of the times this error happens because the specification of the generation time is wrong and when popabc is scaling the values of times something odd happens.
Maybe it is best to build a prior file from the popabc menu:
>popabc
>4
>1

This way you are sure that the prior file is being correctly built.

Hope this helps,
Joao

Thanks for your answer João!

I have build the prior file from the popabc menu. Maybe it's something wrong with the spliting time X generation time i have assumed as prior?

Best,
Anelise

Hi Anelise,

Would it be ok if you attach the prior file you created so that I can take a look?
Joao
