Hi,
I'm proud to announce a new release of Poor's Man Monitor. Here is the
changelog:
- Increased timeout for ping attemps from 10 seconds to 60 seconds.
Useful for avoiding false-positives on unreliable conections (like
dial up , GPRS or bloated uplink).
- Pomamonitor will check if it has access to the needed binaries on
load. This will avoid running with missing dependencies.
- Now zenity is a dependency for pomamonitor.
- If no configuration file is detected, a GUI wizard made with zenity
will ask for configuration data.
You may check a video showing how this GUI wizard looks:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2r7Pshx3jxc
For now a GUI is only triggered if no config file is detected. In
later releases, a GUI will be availuable for changing configuration
once it is set. The presence of a GUI also opens a roadmap for port
monitoring based on nmap.
Thank you for using pomamonitor,
