Brookings Institution came out with a warning yesterday. It said
30% of the nation was either in poverty already or headed to it. The US is
becoming like a 'developing nation,' said the report, with 39.1 million
people living in poverty.
Many cities have already reached the 30% poverty rate - including Cleveland,
Detroit, Youngstown, Buffalo, Syracuse, Dayton and Hartford, Connecticut.
But poverty is increasing fastest in the suburbs, says the report.
We add a footnote. About 40 million Americans are also living on food stamps
- a new record.
Guys don't you understand that Republican ideology and a screwed Congressional system has led us to this.....and you fight Obama.......he is the best we could have at this time to get us on the right track.....status quo will not fix our troubled nation.......Major changes in the American thought process must be changed. What worked in the past will not work in the present and future.......
Think about it......America is like the horse and buggy manufacturers when the automobile was invented. You must change or go down the tubes.....

If you talk about helping the poor, they call you a Christian, but if you actually try to do something to help the poor, they call you a Socialist.
