working example of rails app using poolparty?

Does anyone know of a working example of a rails app on a recent
poolparty version? I'm attempting to get the most basic example
working and have run into problems with the embedded examples as well
as emiltin's app.

I'll happily dump more of my specific errors here for help, but
thought I'd ask if there was a better resource first, since it seems
like I'm missing something.
