Issue:
You have deployed a new Virtual Network Gateway in the Azure Portal and configured a Point-to-Site connection.
When you attempt to download the VPN Client you receive the error shown below,
File download error: Failed to dynamically fetch target download uri.
Very simple problem - I can see the data on the screen Microsoft Azure, Home, Activity Log but when I choose download to csv, it goes into the background process. says it produces the csv successfully, then fails in doing the download with Failed to dynamically fetch target download uri.I am the account admin and this is NOT microsoft Entra id.
Yes, I've been encountering the same issue for the past two weeks. Although I can view the Activity Log, I consistently encounter an error when attempting to export it: "Failed to dynamically fetch target download URI." Notably, I want to highlight that I can successfully download other logs, such as those from Log Analytics.Sometimes I can see the following:
Failed to prepare csv file.message: t.replace is not a function name: TypeError stack: TypeError: t.replace is not a function at e.replaceAll ( :1:10756) at -v2.hosting.portal.azure.net/activitylog/Content/Dynamic/Bzy1Me-QF2gW.js:11:911 at Array.map () at -v2.hosting.portal.azure.net/activitylog/Content/Dynamic/Bzy1Me-QF2gW.js:11:876 at Array.forEach () at l ( -v2.hosting.portal.azure.net/activitylog/Content/Dynamic/Bzy1Me-QF2gW.js:11:841) at -v2.hosting.portal.azure.net/activitylog/Content/Dynamic/Bzy1Me-QF2gW.js:11:2850
I am trying to download the CSR of the Apple MDM Push Certificate.
After checking "I agree." and clicking "Download your CSR", I am getting an error "Failed to dynamically fetch target download uri. Error details: [object Object]".
It is unfortunately not always so easy to automatically solve for the users affected, as for some browsers it will sticky - both releading the page and restarting the browser will use the resolved network failure. Per May 2023 this happens in Chrome, but not so with Safari and Firefox where reloading will re-fetch failed dynamic imports as well (at least in my testing).
