I've just started seeing the normal green background tick replaced with a white background tick on multiple files and folders. According to the help pages these white background ticks can only appear on folders yet I have them on multiple files.
What would be nice would be for a company to be consistent with their icons rather that occasionally going for a total redesign just because someone has said it's fashionable to have a new look. If you have to have a new look please, at least, keep the basic symbolism consistent with the past for the sake of your long term loyal customers. When you do release an update please also release an update of the help files as the statement that 'A white circle with a green outline and a green checkmark can only appear on a folder' is not true as I have it all over my files.
Hi Jay, thanks for coming back with this info. It seems I was wrong about the icon being related to shared files as other replies have pointed out. I've also found these green and white backgrounds on files I havn't shared. They are not at all intuitive.

Sometimes when trying to take photo the camera refuses to focus (get green focus lights but then camera defocuses and then refocuses but doesn't 'hold' focus) and on the bottom left of the screen there is a Green Circle with 2 green 'echoes' around it, what does this mean, probably indicating some problem with the shot but I cannot figure it out??? any ideas??? Stanner,You are correct. Those are pseudo waypoints with various meaning. If you have text T/D or T/C close to the circles they are representing Top of Descent and Top of Climb respectively.If you have circles with the text DECEL these are starting points for deceleration to comply with a waypoint speed restriction.And finally you have two circles some distance apart and those are starting point and end point for the 240/10000 speed restriction.I think those are the ones you'll encounter...Hope it helps,
You mentioned in the comments that the circles will always have the same size. Let's take advantage of this fact. My code snippets are in C++ language but this should not be a problem because they are only here to show which OpenCV functions to use (and how) ...
