Thanks for responding, but no number that I can find, been with Sketchup since atlast. Have always been able to upgrade when it went to google? Upgraded fine from2017- 2018 to 2019 I am using pro of course. Contacted support and they sent me a number then my laptop crashed?

Does anyone know how to call SketchUp? It seems impossible. I am simply looking for my Sketchup pro-2019 invoice. I requested it last week and need it quite urgently. I have tried calling them but apparently the call centre number is nowhere on the net. It should be on the invoice but it is not on my 2018 invoice or on my partners 2019 invoice. So does anyone actually know what the support number is?

So its not in my subscription email, nor in my husbands? If you call the 303 number, they advise you to look in your email.
Why does it have to be a secret ? Can someone actually give us the number?

This happens when the arc is very small and the segments would need to be too small to draw. Solution is to either lower the number of segments (type the number of segments you want before drawing the arc), or scaling the model up, drawing the arc, then returning the model to its original scale.

Dear all,

Like the title say, I want to know if the program as a maximum number of polygons to take in considerations, I'm about to put Enscape to test with a shopping mall of 1 Kilometer long with a marina an lots of furniture and Palm trees,

Any advice before I start will be very well received !

Julio Puccini I had a Sketchup model that contain 3d trees adn car models and lots of building imported from 3dmax. The size of the model is about 1.2gb (didn't know the polygon number). And I can run encape very well. As Thomas mention, It just takes long time than the normal in loading phase. Besides, I have a lower graphic card than you (Geforce GTX 970)

I have also sent a feedback with the system log file. Appending herewith the link to download sketchup file.. Its actually split into 2 parts. One is master file (Drawing and Living) and another is proxied into the first file. The proxied file is (Bedrooms). The error says "Parameter is not valid".

Anytime I search this on Google it only shows me the instructions for the desktop app, drives me crazy. How can I change the number of segments on the web app version of Sketchup? I paid for the web version, not sure if that makes a difference.

Is there any way in either Sketchup or Rhino to improve the mesh settings so I get much smoother surfaces once model is imported into rhino? Or is this just down to the level of detail on the original sketchup model?

As you probably know, the Move tool is used to move objects, and the Rotate tool is used to rotate objects. For both tools, when you press the Ctrl/Option key, you will make copies. For linear copies, you can adjust the spacing and number of copies, and for rotated copies, you can adjust the angle between copies and the number of copies. For both kinds of copying, you can make these adjustments as many times as needed while the tool is still active. Keep in mind, however, that after you start a new Move or Rotate action, or activate a new tool, you can no longer adjust the spacing, angles, and so on.

To make copies, activate the Move tool and press the Ctrl key (Option on the Mac). SketchUp is very flexible in how you can set the spacing and number of copies: After the first copy is made, you can enter the number of copies you want and set the spacing between them. Until you activate a new tool or start a new Move operation, you can continue to adjust both the spacing and numbers.

In this scenario, you know where the first and last objects are located, and want to space objects evenly between them. The format for placing a specific number of copies between two objects is to enter the desired number of copies, followed by the / (forward slash) symbol. (The forward slash symbol denotes division.) For example, if you make a copy of an object 20 feet away, and then type 4/ and press Enter, you will have five objects (four copies plus one original), with four equal spaces of 5 feet each in between copies.

Using the method demonstrated in Recipe 1.1, enter the number of copies you want (say, 4x) and adjust the spacing to get a line of sloped windows (Figure 1-37). The spacing is the distance measured along the diagonal edge.

You can change your mind and use an internal array as shown in Recipe 1.2. Just enter the distance between the first and last windows. The distance in this example is 50 feet. You will still have the same number of windows as before, but they will be spaced so that only two appear on the building (Figure 1-38). You may have to zoom out to see the rest of the windows.

To make copies with the Rotate tool, you must first preselect the objects to be copied. Then activate the Rotate tool and press the Ctrl key (Option on the Mac). You can enter the angle between copies before or after you place the copy. After the first copy is made, you can enter the number of copies you want. Until you activate a new tool or start a new Rotate operation, you can continue to adjust both the angle and numbers.

In this scenario, you know where the first and last objects are located, and want to space objects evenly between them. The format for placing a specific number of copies between two rotate-copied objects is to enter the desired number of copies, followed by the / (forward slash) symbol, which denotes division. For example, if you make a copy of an object 90 degrees away, and then type 3/ and press Enter, you will have four objects (three copies plus one original), with three equal spaces of 30 degrees between copies.

Insert standard and customized parametric components - like flange beams, lumbers, piping, geometric figures, function curves, stairs and more - to your Google SketchUp models with sketchup.engineeringtoolbox.com

Students must contact an IT staff member for the serial number before proceeding! You can come to Brooks 203, send an email to desig...@ncsu.edu or use this form to contact the College Information Technology staff with specific information about your problem.

I have drawn a 3 storey office building and completed the sketchup 3d model and then got to save the open studio model. When I am trying to open the the open studio model in sketchup, it is showing only the wire-frames of the building without the other components.I appreciate if you could help me in this issue.

Prior to intersecting, I had tried to add manual intersections, because the automatic process seemed to not work so well. As I did that, I noticed that beyond a certain number of manual intersections, I would get the wireframe effect. So I tried adding manual intersections on different surfaces in different order, but no matter how I did that, beyond a certain number, it always failed with the wireframe effect. I suspect the equivalent in the automatic surface matching is that it may go through the process, but then simply removes surfaces to "stay below this number", whatever that may be?

SketchUp is a 3D modeling software often used to create models for 3D printing. There are also a number of 3D models available for download. SketchUp Pro is available on workstations in the Acopian Engineering Center.

When Datasmith detects multiple copies of the same component in your SketchUp scene, it only creates one set of Static Mesh assets for that component, and places multiple instances of those Static Meshes into the scene. This is typically better for the runtime memory requirements and performance of your Project, as well as making it easier to manage the number of Static Mesh assets in your Content Browser.

What software does the Makerspace use for 3D printing?
We use Cura to check all prints. It is a free download and can be used by anyone wishing to preview or prepare a print file, but the Makerspace will prepare all submitted files in-house and does not expect students to do this. Cura provides the print time, the amount of filament needed, and a number of adjustable settings. Most importantly, it gives a visual preview of how the file will appear on the printer, and highlights any errors.

Can I print something absolutely huge?
Probably not, but it depends. If a large scale is necessary for the level of detail you have, AND the majority of the print is of your own design, AND you come in to discuss it with us early enough, let's do it! We are limited by the number of available printers, need of other students to use them, and materials in stock.
