Every so often, I need to create a triangle in a layout. It would be fantastic if the triangle was based on a true equilateral shape, where each side where the same length (rather than building a triangle based on a square, which results in two sides that are longer).

I came here in search of this. The "play button" is my benchmark test for a graphics app. Now that we have the triangle constructed -- how do we place the triangle inside a circle such that however the triangle is rotated, the nodes remain the same distance from the bounding circle.

Edit: Derp! I get it, I was still aligning the triangle via bounding box, and not by the rotational center of the object. Is there an easy way to align the object by its rotational center?

A triangle is a plane created by connecting three points. The first two arguments specify the first point, the middle two arguments specify the second point, and the last two arguments specify the third point.

The image you're seeing below shows all of that data aggregated into a 1 page heat map but it represents thousands of searches. The pattern is unmistakable and has come to be known as "Google's Golden Triangle". If your listing was in the triangle it was golden because you were getting the highest visibility, thus (presumably) more traffic and more sales.

The red lines below the triangle indicated various screen resolutions. Remember this was well before mobile and responsive web technologies had become mainstream. The larger your monitor the more listings you could see "Above The Scroll".
