It's
Our Future: Environmental Legislation Forum
The Metrowest Node of 350Massachusetts invites all to the
Environmental Legislation Forum. Senators Karen Spilka and Jamie
Eldridge and Representatives Chris Walsh, Jack Lewis, and Carmine
Gentile will outline the environmental and climate-related
legislation for the current session on Beacon Hill. The officials
will take questions from the audience.
The proposed legislation is important for our future and includes
more community solar, repair of the many methane gas leaks, an
increase of the renewable energy portfolio, opposition to a pipeline
tax, carbon pricing, divestment from fossil fuels, and more. Early
indications suggest this legislative session can move us toward a
more sustainable future, especially if local residents express their
support early and often.
WHEN: Wednesday, March 1, from 7 to 9:30pm
WHERE: First Parish Church, 24 Vernon Street, Framingham
