Dear Tbird I am reaching out to you, including my family, friends and colleagues, to open a dialogue about the energy and climate challenges we are facing. I would like to share my thoughts with you and develop opportunities for collaboration. I have been creating commercial solar projects in California and solar initiatives in Latin America, and recently co-founded a non-profit organization, INIST -- The International Institute of Sustainable Transportation. This organization is working with universities, governments and high tech companies to develop transportation systems which do not depend on burning "ancient sunlight." I would like to welcome you to participate in Podcar City 7, a special event which will take place in Washington DC on October 23-25. This annual gathering brings together professionals and government officials who are launching a revolution in transportation, most generally described as Automated Transportation Networks, often called "Podcars." Though few in number, over many years ATN systems have demonstrated safety 100X better than cars. It is being demonstrated that they can reclaim urban streets for pedestrians and bicyclists (operating above grade), they can be 100% solar powered, and they can dramatically reduce congestion.
