Hi guys. The Microsoft Edge is my favorite browser of all times, really, but not when I try to watch netflix or other video streaming services, it always breaks, I have no ideia what to do anymore. Always when I try to play something there's an error and then I need to reload over and over again, sometimes even when I just play the video it stop working when I try to play again. Help me to keep using this best browser that I've ever seen.
I've ever tried to disable hardware acceleration, enable DRM content, install Microsoft Silverlight and a lot of other things, but I didn't get to watch so far without an error I keep receiving these error codes: D7356-7701 and others related. Is there's still something that can be done to really fix theses erros or I just have to be patient and wait for news versions of the browser?
I contacted Apple support about this and their suggestion to upgrade to the newest IOS version - 10.3.1 - which I did and to uninstall/ reinstall those particular apps; did not resolve the issue. I tried numerous other things like de-selecting the 'Access within Apps' (Control Centre) and doing a mini-reboot by pressing the home and sleep button together. This didn't work. A number of posts have referred to a method involving the Orientation Lock and Mute button; I couldn't seem to find this on my Ipad. Either way, I found the solution that worked for my Ipad, you basically have to Reset All Settings, don't worry this does not erase any of your data. You'll just have to re-enter your Wifi password after it reboots. I hope this works for you too:
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the control center if you are running iOS 7. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get to control center . Tap on the bell icon and system sounds will return.
The posted "Official" fix does not work after switching apps. If you've lost sound in app and games but not in music or headphones, then try this. Close all current apps, go to settings, control center and turn off "Access Within Apps". Then do a soft reset with the home and sleep button. Your audio/external speakers will now work in apps. Apple broke the audio controller (pause/play/forward/back/volume) in the Control Center with their 7.1.1 update.
You're right, I don't, because I just joined today to share a solution to a problem I researched. I found these pages, several of them, referring to the same issue I had and none of their suggestions worked. I had already exhausted the simple stuff.
Keep telling the users to unmute or reset or restore. Cause I can tell you right now that solution doesn't work consistently. But it did for me after I added turning off the control centers access within apps to the process. It is related, heck, maybe it's even a new 7.1.1 bug! I wouldn't have taken the time to make this account if I didn't know it was a part of the puzzle.
Or is the problem that there are so many users on here that this is the first stuff you spout and spout it with attitude because you're tired of repeating yourselves? Can we take a step back from our EGOS? Just listen, without the haughtiness, for one second.
I'm going to leave this at that because I have better things to do than argue with you guys. You're being closed-minded. And here I thought you guys would be happy to have a software dev find another clue to help towards a clear consistent solution to a problem that is not always a user setting or user error.
Unintentionally broke it, maybe. I find the suggestion that people don't realize their toggle is on mute more absurd, you can clearly see when it is and isn't. This is just another 'try everything else that's simple' before moving on to possible code breaks. Like the turn it off turn it on classic. This setting fixed mine when I figured it out. Yes that may be anecdotal to you but the coincidences surrounding the ah ha moment sealed it for me. The external speaker wasn't playing and my headphones were the only thing working. They went quiet as soon as I slid the control center up, same with the external speaker when it finally worked once after a few resets. I also did the reset all settings before doing my control center setting. My issue was no external audio in any app (games, gba4ios, YouTube, QuickTime etc) except for google play, iTunes and soundcloud.
Your statement that Apple broke the audio controller with their update to 7.1.1 and blaming that on not having sound in games and apps is absurd IMO. I have had no issues at all with sound in apps or games running iOS 7.1.1. The controls for sound work fine for me and the sounds themselves in music, apps and games work without issue.
In case you're wondering why things are so klutzy, here is the history. Originally, the mechanical switch affected only the rotation lock and the mute was a software switch elsewhere. In IOS-3, it was changed to be the mute switch and the rotation lock became a software switch. This was done to ensure consistency among IOS devices. Unfortunately, a large quantity of users complained loudly, alleging that they turned the rotation lock on and off several times every hour and the convenience of the mechanical switch is essential. In IOS-4, Apple bowed to the whiners and made the switch function selectable and now we're stuck with a mess.
Used to go to a green screen and now it is black and you have to totally shut the TV off to get a screen back. So not happy with this soundbar. Nothing but problems since I got it for a Christmas gift for my husband.
The TV is done! Luckily mine was only 9 months old when I got the black screen and under 1 year warranty so I got my money back and got a Samsung. TCL is junk, the Guy who came to look at my TV before me getting reimburse said that he gets many calls with the same issue it is just junk tvs, You're fighting a losing battle trying to get reimbursed if it's been over a year the warranty has expired you're stuck with a junk TV
Marlon Manyweather in a darkened room turn the TV on to a channel where you have sound etc. Then us a flashlight and shine it at an angle against the screen see if you can make out shapes silhouettes etc. If so you know that your backlight is not working. This may require replacing the LCD strips inside the panel or a new power board. You will have to remove the back from your TV and check the power board with a multimeter Post some good images of all of your boards with your question so we an see what you see. Adding images to an existing question
Of course before all of this. Unplug your TV, unplug all devices that are plugged into your TV and then hold the power button down for about a minute or so. Then plug one video source (preferably a local DVD/BR or Game console)in and plug the TV in, restart. See if that resolved it since a bad cable box can sometimes cause a dark screen as well.
TCL repairman came and replaced parts when my tv suddenly went dark for no reason, new parts didn't work either, TCL ended up sending me a check for my tv since it was still under 1st year warranty. Waste of time it took a month for whole process, never again will I buy TCL ended up getting Samsung. I had a 75 inch, only had for 8 months, garbage
TCL made me send pictures of my TV, receipt and video, the hassle alone made me want to say screw it, but I got reimbursed the entire $848, they told me to keep tv because it was too big to pickup so I sold it on Facebook for $150. These TCL tvs are garbage and they know it.
I can hear the clicking of the remote as chick the various buttons. So I would assume it's just a single board that needs to be replaced. And I'm quite capable of replacing the board but don't care to spend the money unless I know for sure that's the problem.
awesome fix, worked as a charm, did go to settings afterward and turned off quick start, I knew when I bought this set that it was cheap and expected it to not last, we will see if with this fix i'll get some more time out of it
Hi, am from Nigeria. This fix worked for my 50" TCL C715.......thereafter the display i then noticed like two fainted dotted lines on the bottom part of my TV showing in stripes-like form......but still displaying pictures.
Mark-- I think I also saw your comment on the YT video you linked. Same model TV, mine also 2.5 yrs old like yours...I can see the menu/letters with flashlight test. I've tried LITERALLY everything else mentioned here and elsewhere online. Going to attempt to swap out the LED Strips. Questions...1. Did you simply replace ALL strips rather than search for the one faulty LED bulb?? 2. Could you please list ALL tools you needed? 3. Did you use the little plungers to lift the glass or can this be done easily with two people? 4. Any snafus or anything you think I should know before attempting this that you wish you had known? Sorry for all the questions but I'm not super handy or mechanically/electronically inclined so a bit hesitant. Thanks for your time and appreciate all of the posts and links.
