Has Trypolyphasic.com/forum been down for a long time?

Hey guys,

As you may know, trypolyphasic.com/forum is huge resource for polyphasic sleepers. I find a lot of interesting posts on google that I want to learn more about, but unfortunately they're under maintenance right now. It says to check back in a few minutes... it's been a few days and it's still not working. They don't have any contact info on the site either.

I was wondering if anyone knows what happened? And whether or not it's been down for a real long time or not. I really wanna read those forums. :^(

I think they were having a problem with spam on the forum last time I checked?

Hey guys -

Yeah, I actually was running that site. I had to be away from things for about a year while traveling and in the meantime it got pretty over-run with spam.

The past month I started getting people emailing me requesting me to take down particular spam links - like felons whose mugshot profiles were somehow spammed - and figured I'd take it down since there seems to be other forums that have picked up where we left off.

If it's valuable to people, I can try to get it back up at some point but am pretty busy with other projects at the moment.

I'd suggest making it readonly or so with a big banner explaining why.

This Yahoo forum was essentially abandoned and overrun with spam when I rescued it and converted it over to a moderated forum a couple years ago. Since then we've been spam free. Yea!
