We've started a list here if you want to take a look at some ideas (and contribute yourself!):

I don't have a hard time staying awake or fighting off sleepiness, so I may have an easier time than most, but the main thing to do in any situation where you're trying to stay awake is to keep moving and stay focused on something.  The thing with doing uberman is that you're training yourself to fall asleep and wake up in short periods of time, so you may get to a point where you fall asleep easily when you lay down.  When you're not sleeping, always sit straight up or stand, and just keep active and occupied.  If you're really tired and you do any quiet, restful activity, you will probably fall asleep.  If you get to the point where you're falling asleep during active things, then you're probably too tired for anything to keep you up and you need to take a nap then.

A couple things. I have a video log on youtube with some tips ( you
might find something useful in the earlier videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/aeia
), however, one thing that is important you need to keep in mind:
If you are making a lifestyle change like this, the most successful
candidates will have already had a list of things to do so long, they
may not even get to them in a 22 hour day. You need motivation and
extreme willpower. If you have to ask yourself what there is to do or
how you might keep yourself awake, you may not want to go uberman.

Its easy for me, I have so much to do. I always wanted to 'work out
for four hours a day". While I never get quite THAT much time, that
was what I did while adapting, worked out, went on walks, because it
was hard to stay awake sitting down.
