After immersing myself in anything and everything I can find "Polymer related", I'm embarrassed to say I'm having troubles getting started.  I'm unable to save and/or preview, which seems to be caused by issues related to the GitHub token I'm attempting to use.  Are there specific settings of some sort required?  Designer doesn't produce "errors" but it continues to ask for a token, even though I've placed my token information exactly as it was given to me in GitHub.  Does anyone have a suggestion or could someone point me to a useful resource?  Thanks in advance for any help.

Did you copy the token using the copy icon for the token or did you highlight it with mouse/keyboard?  If the latter, you may have an extra space or something in the token.

I just tried the designer at  https://www.polymer-project.org/tools/designer/  with a newly generated token and it worked fine.

Good luck.

FWIW, I want to point out that the designer is just a fun prototype the team built. It's by no means a full fledged IDE and it's not really meant to help you build production apps. It's more a demonstration of what's possible. If you really want to work with Polymer (and Web Components in general) you'll want to do so in a text editor.
