Custom Elements with namespaces for XHTML documents

I'd like to get comments on this proof on concept and how we could extend document.registerElement

Now I've forked and updated the Polymer webcomponent.js project at github: https://github.com/hfmanson/webcomponentsjs/tree/xml-namespace

I'd love to receive comments and suggestions on this idea.
