WebGL plus Polymer losing mouse events

I have a working webgl app for viewing data in 3D. I'm attempting to add a drawer using polymer, and its looking great. However after the integration I lost mouse events in webgl in Chrome.

Example of how/which events I am listening for:
domElement.addEventListener("click",      evt => tScene.enterClick(evt),      false);
domElement.addEventListener("dblclick",   evt => tScene.enterDblClick(evt),   false);
domElement.addEventListener("mousemove",  evt => tScene.enterMouseMove(evt),  false);
domElement.addEventListener("mousedown",  evt => tScene.enterMouseDown(evt),  false);
domElement.addEventListener("mouseup",    evt => tScene.enterMouseUp(evt),    false);
domElement.addEventListener("wheel",      evt => tScene.enterMouseWheel(evt), false);
domElement.addEventListener("touchmove",  evt => tScene.enterTouchMove(evt),  false);
domElement.addEventListener("touchstart", evt => tScene.enterTouchStart(evt), false);
domElement.addEventListener("touchend",   evt => tScene.enterTouchEnd(evt),   false);

Polymer appears to be overwriting these listeners for touch input handling. I have seen many other webgl + polymer apps so I assume I've taken a wrong path in my listeners. Any tips would much appreciated, thanks!
