Load different components on tab change

In the context of an SPA I want to have 3 different views (for want of a better word).  One is a set of filters than can be applied to large list of restaurants; the next is a listing of relevant restaurants; and the plots these on a map.

All the demos I can find so far basically just show different content in the same template when you switch tabs, whereas I want to use very different content on each one.

Can anyone point me in the right direction (for paper-tabs if that makes a difference)

I'd take a look at core-pages or core-animated-pages. You can show whatever you want on each page & the tabs will let you index through them.
