MutationObservers do not seem to work on text nodes in the latest platform:

This is fallout from ShadowDOM Polyfill implementing MutationObservers internally for correctness reasons back in November.
I'll post an issue to investigate using "input" events to fix the gap.

I am not sure if this is going to help at all!
However I have used the mutationObserver before to capture changes of attributes or text node.


I have not drilled into detail about this feature, but it should help with contenteditable fix you are after.
