Hey, what happened here, and why?

The new paper-input click animation (see attachment) is quite different and less nice IMO than the old one... What is the situation here?

I'm not noticing a difference, can you explain what you're seeing that feels different?

The animation duration seems much shorter, and (possibly as a result of the former) the "ink swoosh to the left" effect looks as if it is more rigid - like the timing function is more linear than ease-in-out.

I'm pretty sure I'm not imagining things, since the difference to me is quite severe

There hasn't been any change with the transitions in paper-input for a while. Do you have a reference point of when the "old" version was?

Sorry, I can't remember exactly - all I know is that definitely when the paper-elements sampler was released, then the original look was displayed...

This is really weird since there hasn't been any changes relating to the animation and in multiple browsers this change is displayed. Surely someone other than me can notice this change..?
