Hi,

I'm just starting to migrate my app to v 1.0, but have come stuck on getting app globals to work.

I was using PVC-Globals, but I cannot find an updated version for Polymer 1.0.

I tried to make one myself and it is located at

There is no error messages, but when I try to use it it values don't seem to get transferred between instances.

can anyone see what I'm doing wrong or does anyone know of a similar element that works.

Regards

Phil

I'm unsure of what your use case looks like, but does https://github.com/polymerelements/iron-meta fulfill any of your needs?

AFAICT iron-meta does not enable data binding between <iron-meta> instances in separate elements, which app-globals enabled (in 0.5).

If you have two <iron-meta>s using the same key, updating one's value property doesn't update the value property of the other -- they only set the global state. It seems to me <iron-meta> is missing an Object.observe on metaDatas which, when triggered, would update the value property of all relevant <iron-meta>s. Are there performance reasons this wasn't done?

In other words, is it possible to make this work using vanilla Polymer 1.0? http://pastebin.com/cL2syB2X
