on-transitionend in qtwebkit (problem with paper-tabs)

Trying to run Polymer in QtWebkit and the animation for the bar on paper-tabs falls apart. I spent the past while tracking down the issue, and the handler barTransitionEnd is never called. I suspect it has some problem interpreting "on-transitionend". I've tweeked it to remove double stage animation locally. 

I read that onwebkittransitionend should work, but couldn't get that to work myself.

For the record I was able to fix the issue by eliminating the 'on-transitionend' handler and putting a timer in instead... a little ugly, but it works and now QtWebkit matches the appearance of other browsers... Attached my new paper-tabs code if anybody is having a similar issue.
