Port to Typescript

Hello there,

I would like to port the library to TypeScript. Could I do that? Is there any restriction to do it? Can I do that in my own github?

Or you could contribute a .d.ts for the JS version, the API is short.

As suggested, I contributed with a .d.ts for the JS version.

There is an PR waiting for approval.
