Impromptu Ice Cream Social Tonight

Maybe some of you have noticed the camping at Polly Judd Park over the weekend? Because of recent events at Polly Judd Park (homeless camp moving into the park), neighbors have planned an impromptu event – Ice Cream Social – this evening at PJP at 6:30. Bring a bowl, spoon, and maybe an ice cream scoop. Bring to share: your favorite ice cream and good will.

Steps taken: The Lower South Hill Neighborhood Blockwatch has announced this event via email newsletter. The Parks Department Park Operations team is aware and is responding. Our neighborhood resource officer, Tim Ottmar SPD is in contact with the neighbors, will have visited the park by now, and is responding. Council folks Breean Beggs, Lori Kinnear, and Ben Stuckart are all in the loop.
