We continue to informally meet each Saturday at the planned Garden area, mostly around the demo raised bed, to meet newly interested folks, share ideas, and to grow our community.

Introduce yourselves - It is not going to be the same people every Saturday. Several of the folks there last week are out of town this week.

Make Music - Bring a 5 gallon bucket, or something more comfortable to drum on.

Take Notes - Bring a pencil and paper to take notes. Get email addresses of new folks to Phil or Jon or Greg for an invitation to the Google group.

Group Activity:  Mark Garden Entrance. Fun, temporary, kid-friendly group activity. 2 piles of rocks bracketing the imagined entrance. In your travels, be on the lookout for a pair of sturdy 10 foot poles to plant.

Group Activity:  Tansy control - See this folder.  Bring gloves, a bag or said bucket, and hand pruners. Find someone in the group who knows what tansy looks like. Proceed to clip, bag, and remove tansy seed heads. Handle seed heads carefully to avoid shatter. At the current stage of growth until early May is the time to remove all remaining seedheads. This is needed prior to foliage harvest which starts in late May. Extend the effort out from garden area. Nearest tansy seed heads are currently in the aspens along the path. The tansy in the willows east of the drain have been cleared of seed heads.

Make Music - This Saturday at 12:30 is a drum circle at the park. Native American style. If you have a drum or a bucket bring it.
Take Notes - Bring a pencil and paper to take notes. Get email addresses of new folks to Phil or Jon or Greg for an invitation to the Google group.
Group Activity:  Consider composting and materials handling, likely at the NW corner of the garden area.

Group Activity:  Consider the location for two 4x8 beds near the entrance.

See you there! Phil
