This applies to CSV users who use the "Mode" column.
We recently realized Rasmussen's methodology changed in 2012. They used to conduct "Automated Phone" surveys; then they changed to "IVR/Online". We neglected their change and incorrectly coded them as "Automated Phone."
Just now, we've bulk-changed Rasmussen polls starting in 2014 from "Automated Phone" to "IVR/Online". ("IVR" is a synonym for "Automated Phone.")
This shows up on in the CSV's "Mode" column and the Slim CSV's "mode" column. It affects 1,153 polls; they appear in 155 CSVs.
Why did we only change polls dating back to 2014? Well, frankly, because we're afraid: big changes can make big mistakes. We don't have a policy on how far back we correct our mistakes, and we've never thought about it much.
Please tell us if this change affects you. We'd love to hear about what we should do in cases like this.
Enjoy life,
Adam
