Interested in integration of Poll Everywhere with our website, please advice is it possible to:

1) Fetch list of existing polls via API
2) Vote for specific poll on behalf of our participant via API

Unfortunately, I don't see these options on https://api.polleverywhere.com/

Hi Denis,

We don't have a supported API for listing polls. You can access this list at https://www.polleverywhere.com/api/polls
Because it is not a supported API there can be quirks, and it can change.

Responding to a poll on behalf of a participant is a bit more complex. We use cookies to identify participants, so you would need to manage the cookies on their behalf. If the participants will be logging in, you'd actually need to control their credentials. When doing this, it is especially important that they understand that you control these credentials. In both cases, the participants will lose any privacy because you will have full access to their responses. It is important that participants understand this. For these reasons, this is not an approach we recommend.

Usually it is best to have participants interact with the Poll Everywhere API directly from their browsers. This is the only way to maintain the security and privacy of the participant's responses. We have a few options for doing this, including ways for you to customize the experience.

If you would like to talk to someone about getting customized support for these APIs, I suggest emailing sales --at-- polleverywhere.com with the specifics of your scenario. We have been able to help with similar requests before.

Cheers,
Paul

Hello Paul,

OK, thanks for the info.

Please advice where I can find the code to embed the poll on the website (hence our visitor can vote)?

https://www.polleverywhere.com/free_text_polls/hzFbP195EqN25Ms

The code displayed on https://www.polleverywhere.com/free_text_polls/hzFbP195EqN25Ms/embed  is incorrect and don't provide ability to vote.

For a Free Text Poll, your best option for embedding is an iframe:

<iframe width=300 height=500 src="https://PollEv.com/free_text_polls/hzFbP195EqN25Ms/web"/>

You may want to set the height and width differently, depending on the specifics of your situation.
