Adding myself to list of participants

I can't seem to add myself to the list of participants for my own polls.  More precisely, I don't show up in the list of participants for my organization (Yale University) at all.  I tried importing a CSV file containing my information to add myself to a group, and it said it was merging the info with the existing account but did not add me to the list.

While I can imagine some actual use cases for wanting to be a registered participant for your own polls, I need it mainly for testing.  I can respond to my own polls, but I can't link the response to the participant list at www.polleverywhere.com/api/participants since I'm not included in that list.
