Dear Sir/Madam,

Brands, their equity, and politics are three concepts that I find fascinating when examined together, yet, unfortunately they have been rarely or inadequately addressed in previous research and literature. At the essence of my master thesis, I am aiming to explore questions that connect the power and potential of marketing to the domain of politics:
What exactly are we describing about when we talk about 'strong brands'?
Can consumer perceptions of brands be related to voter perceptions of political parties? Would it be possible to measure political party performance in terms of brand-like perception of them? These are all debatable questions, but worthy of investigation, and I do believe that your expertise could help me to unravel them.

My name is Mantas Aleksiejevas and I am an ambitious master's student, currently studying at University of Amsterdam. Currently I am conducting research for my graduate thesis, which the central aim of is to develop a scale that could be used for political brand equity measurement. Part of this research involves consultation with experts in the field.
Hence, this is what brings me to enquire for your help. Would it be interesting for you to participate in rating a list of brand equity measurement items, based on their fit to political world, and help me to hopefully graduate leaving something useful in academia after my research?

The survey can be found on:

Your participation would be really helpful and much appreciated. I do believe that academia is something where shared knowledge and opinions are a virtue. Hence, in return I would be more than happy to contribute to your research as much as my capabilities allow and spare a thankful virtual handshake.

Thank you very much in advance.

Sincerely Yours,

Mantas Aleksiejevas
