A quick Political Innovation update: The Institute for Government have
agreed in principle to help us host a 'Dragons Den' type event at
which the people who have used the site to promote an innovation will
be able to meet senior politicians and civil servants. This is
scheduled to take place in December at their London address.

Further details to follow in due course.

In the meantime, Political Innovation no5 is on the site. This one is
from Lauren Currie - @redjotter - the activist behind the 'MyPolice'
project. She is making the case that the public sector would be better
if it crowdsourced information about it's services from it's users
rather than getting information officers to provide it.

Hi Slugger

I'm based near Edinburgh and use this blog

www.nordicenterprisetrust.wordpress.com

to air my thinking concerning legal and financial structures fit for
the 21st century, and some of the policy options which may result.

These are also routinely posted by the Labour List blog

http://www.labourlist.org/chris_cook

I'm getting a lot of traction, particularly in Scotland, for these
ideas: for instance, I recently, courtesy of the National Housing
Federation, made a presentation to the top 20 UK housing associations

I have also given evidence in person to te Treasury Select Committee
(re oil markets) and the Holyrood Economy, Energy and Toursism
Committee (re energy financing).

I've written a 600 word essay on 'Peer to Peer Politics' which you may
be interested in publishing, and hopefully we'll meet up in Edinburgh
on the 13th.

Best Regards

Chris Cook
