Not a word, of course, for the innocent 70,100 Palestinian men, women, and children (plus another 14 to 15 thousand missing, probably buried under the rubble) murdered by Israel -- and by us -- in Gaza alone since the October 7, 2023 Hamas raid. Not to mention the 10,000 or so innocent Gaza men, women, and children murdered before then, by Israel "mowing the lawn" with bombs over the 20 years it has kept Gaza captive; a 139 square mile Concentration Camp, where no one has been allowed in or out, and only the tiniest trickle of food and medicine was let in.

As for the "terrorists" being let out in the prisoner exchange: by Israeli definition, ALL Gazans are "terrorists", as are all Palestinians who object to being slaughtered and having their homes stolen by the IDF and Israeli "Settler"-terrorists. Including Palestinian children locked up as "terrorists" for throwing rocks at Israeli tanks.

What's happening over there is an almost exact parallel to the ethnic cleansing and genocide done to Native Americans by white Americans in the 19th century and before. The only differences being that the Indian population in the United States and US territories had been reduced by nearly 98% by the close of the Indian Wars at the 1890 Wounded Knee Massacre, while Jewish and Palestinian populations in the combined nations of Israel and Palestine are not so far apart (about 9.5 million Jews to about 7.5 million Palestinians, who also have a higher birthrate).

Since WWII, what is nowadays called "ethnic cleansing" and "genocide", as well as wars for territorial expansion, have been condemned and criminalized internationally as "Crimes Against Humanity".

And instead of the word "terrorists", Indians back then were demeaned as "savages", in justification of mass-murdering them in order to steal their lands and resources.

Any more than it's OK for Trump and MAGAs to lie that we're everything from "Marxists", "traitors", "election cheaters", and "America-haters" to "murderers" for the dual purposes of suppressing and punishing freedom of speech, and inciting his MAGAs to murder and commit even more violence against us.

But there's nothing inappropriate about pointing out that Trump's "Project 2025" and other authoritarian, autocratic, and oligarchic policies and actions are fascist in nature, because they demonstrably are. The word is not being used as a slur, or to incite anything violent. We're just opposing politically what your Leader and people are doing to our country.

Besides, don't you think it's kind of a stretch for Israel to call its committing ethnic cleansing and genocide against the Palestinians in order to steal their land and resources from them "protection"...?

Hitler made the same "protection" argument ("to protect the 'Aryan' race") when he committed genocide against the Jews. Their being victimized by one people does not grant them license to do the same to another people.

Do you mean undocumented immigrants?

They weren't "brought in" by any president. President Biden caught more in his four years than Trump did in his first four. but Biden did it legally and Constitutionally, and concentrated on people with arrest records who presented a threat. He didn't send hordes of masked Secret Police to brutalize and terrorize people -- including little children and US citizens -- and concentrate on ones who have built productive, law-abiding lives here for tears and decades.

In any case, it's hard to see what kind of major threat they pose to anything. Certainly not enough to surrender our basic freedoms over. They're not eating our dogs and cats, they cannot vote or collect any form of welfare, and they commit far fewer crimes per capita than citizens born here. They came here to seek better lives, and mostly just do hard menial work for very low wages that few Americans will take, and pay FICA taxes that they'll never be able to benefit from and so instead go to us.

Wars of territorial expansion have been banned since the Nuremberg Tribunals.

The Ukrainians are at least getting to fight back against the neighbor stealing their country, but it's kind of hard to dignify what Israel is and has been doing to Palestine and the Palestinians over the last half century and more by the word "war".
