At the end of FY 2019, a total of 27,494 known or suspected aliens were in  custody. Of those individuals, approximately 72 percent had been confirmed to be illegal aliens. 777 individuals (2.8 percent) were granted relief or protection from removal.

The majority are incarcerated for immigration-related crimes. Legal and illegal immigrants alike commit far fewer crimes per capita against people and property than native-born US citizens, according to FBI, DHS, and even Texas Dept of Public Safety statistics, like the ones I posted the other day.

The “perception” is manufactured bs.  2weeks ago a  local young woman was brutally murdered in her own home.  He took her car and her 2 little girls 8 and 3,  apparently with the intent of selling them. He ended up killing the 3 yr old before the cops found him.  Please make me understand how this would have been more horrific if the perp wasn’t some natural born redneck American scum?

You know I find it quite frustrating how quick Americans are to point at other nationalities and and disparage them as a violent people predisposed to criminal behavior when we ourselves can barely be bothered to muster any outrage when little children are gunned down in their classrooms. When we do bestir ourselves the loudest voices are those raised in anger that this mass shooting may be the one  that is used to justify taking away our guns. Hell you have lawmakers passing laws allowing motorist to mow down protestors.  Crowds at Trump rallies cheering the suggestion of putting armed soldiers on the border to open fire on women and children. I’m amazed other countries allow Americans to enter their borders.

All crime is horrible, regardless of the race of the perpetrator.  Yes, Republicans are lying hateful scum.  But if Biden's mess at the border is issue number one with Americans, him not getting reelected because of this, will hurt the migrants much more.  Sometimes you have to make concessions.  So, Biden's unpopularity because of the border will get Trump elected.  Then children are going back in cages and ill separated from their parents for months.  Remember Jimmy Carter and what happened to him?  And the Cuban immigrants were textbook politically persecuted and still Americans didn't like it.

Biden should have enacted the "stay in Mexico" policy.  Yes, I know it can be dangerous but their trek of thousands of miles was equally the same.

Stay in Mexico was only an option as long as Mexico agreed to it, which they will not . Seems they had enough of the humanitarian crisis we created on their side of the border.

Biden made concessions. In fact agreed to things that Dems before would have never agreed to. The republicans blocked them because they need a political issue.  The border is never going to be fixed until Congress gets serious and reforms the entire system.  Draconian and punitive measures against migrants are not cures, they are red meat to the angry that serves to reinforce the perception of these people as less than human.

On Sky News they recently reported that Mexico is no longer allowing immigrants to enter from their southern border.  Hopefully that will help lessen the flow.
