Their Covid misinformation is getting a lot of people killed and killing any hope of getting the pandemic under control. And the disinformation they parrot about the election is seriously undermining democracy.

It's more and more apparent that the trumpgoper politicians as a whole do not want the pandemic to be under any kind of control. Why would they act to kill unnecessary numbers of Americans, destroy livelihoods, orphan children, and cause needless pain and misery?

Because they want to deny Biden and the Democrats a "win". Because, even though their actions and those of their peeps are the driving forces behind the continued and unnecessary spread of Delta, they will blame those who have acted to safeguard ALL of us, those who have acted like adults, for what they've done.

Not just deny him a "win", but make him fail by making the country fail, even though it means getting a lot of people killed.

They've proven that they're more than willing to jettison democracy for power. What are lives? As Stalin said: "One death is a tragedy. A million deaths is a statistic".

Power - getting more and keeping dominant power for the foreseeable future by shutting Democrats out. Enshrining their minority rule over the rest of us. That it means destroying democracy and our Constitutional, rule-of-law way of life matters not.

Power. That's the primary and overriding motivation of today's Republicans, each and every one of them, save for a few - a very few - exceptions.
