A blockbuster report by independent journalist Aaron Sibarium claims that roughly 50% of UCLA medical students have been failing their exams after the university lowered its admission standards, according to ZeroHedge.

ā€œLed by Lucero, who also serves as the DEI czar of UCLA’s anesthesiology department, the admissions committee gives black and Latino applicants a pass for subpar metrics, four people who served on it said, while whites and Asians need near perfect scores to even be considered,ā€ wrote Sibarium in a social media post on X.

Sibarium claimed that the increase in the failure rate started after Jennifer Lucero was hired as the dean of admissions for UCLA’s medical school in 2020.

ā€œIsn’t this illegal? That’s a question a number of readers of Sibarium’s thread have asked. As Steve Sailer pointed out, yes: ā€˜Racial preferences at UCLA have been thrice outlawed: by California voters in 1996 and 2020 and by the Supreme Court in 2023.'ā€

A "BLOCKBUSTER REPORT" by a rightwing agenda-driven writer for an extreme rightwing, low-credibility website, huh? ("Washington Free Beacon")

That sounds kind of like Mark's "BREAKING NEWS!" reports that Trump has been proved beyond all doubt to have won in a landslide in all 50 states plus DC...

Aaron SibariumĀ is an American journalist. He is a staff writer at theĀ Washington Free Beacon. He is a 2018 graduate ofĀ Yale UniversityĀ where he was editor of the opinion section of theĀ Yale Daily News.[1][2]

Sibarium found many of the instances of plagiarism committed by Harvard presidentĀ Claudine Gay, which led to her resignation in 2023.[3][4]

He was called a "rising star reporter" in a long 2023 profile feature inĀ Politico.[5]

And FYI, the author isn't a "rightwinger".

My sons med school dumped their DEI program for the same reasons the author points out.

<<HeĀ was called a "rising star reporter" in a long 2023 profile feature inĀ Politico.[5]>>

The "rising star reporter" quote was by Tucker Carlson in the Politico article.

<< And FYI, the author isn't a "rightwinger".Ā  >>

Of course he is. Mainstream media references prefer the term "conservative" to "rightwinger", but it amounts to the same thing. He's a staff writer -- not just a contributing writer -- at the explicitly far-rightwing Washington Free Beacon.

Washington Free Beacon - Right Biased - Conservative - Republican - Not Credible
Factual Reporting: Mixed - Not always Credible or Reliable

The site is noted for itsĀ conservativeĀ reporting, modeled afterĀ liberalĀ counterparts in the media such asĀ ThinkProgressĀ andĀ Talking Points Memo, intended to publicize stories and influence mainstream media coverage.

From October 2015 to May 2016, theĀ Washington Free BeaconĀ hiredĀ Fusion GPSĀ to conduct opposition research on ā€œmultiple candidatesā€ during theĀ 2016 presidential election, including Donald Trump. TheĀ Free BeaconĀ stopped funding this research when Donald Trump had clinched the Republican nomination.

Are "rightwing" and "leftwing" the only choices available? The point is that it's not an objective study. It would be the same if it was done by a leftwing website like "Daily Kos" or "Mother Jones". Whatever "side" they're on, it doesn't automatically make them wrong,Ā  but at the very leastĀ  ideological, partisan, or agenda-driven sources are unquestionably biased in which facts they choose to amplify, downplay, or even ignore, and in how they choose to present them.
